Question:

Tarlov Cysts(TCs) are dilatations of nerve roots which are caused by a pathologically high hydrostatic pressure (HP) in the spinal channel. There are many controversies whether these cysts are a rare source of pain or frequently generate symptoms. The goal of this review was to identify the reasons why symptomatic TCs (STCs) are easily overlooked

The Vigdis Thompson Foundation participates in the ‘Deutscher StiftungsTag 2018’ (Conference of German Foundations 2018) which is held by ‘Bundesverband Deutscher Stiftungen’ (National Association of German Foundations) in Nuremburg. The goal is to further network and the increase the awareness of Arachnoiditis.

The Vigdis Thompson Foundation participates in the World Spine 8 and informs about the up to date status of research, diagnosis and treatment of ‘Arachnoiditis and Tarlov Cysts’. The goal is to increase the networking and awareness for the diseases.

Prof. Dr. med. Habil. Jan-Peter Warnke travels to Tjumen and lectures about the topics ‘Skull-base approach to the orbital cavity’ and ‘Endoscopy of the lumbar subarachnoidal space’.
